There is a point where construction becomes refinement. The form is there. The finish still has to earn its place.
Hand-finishing is decision after decision. Smooth the edge or let it catch. Hide the stitch or let it speak. Let the metal take light or keep it dark.
Those choices are not for the camera. They are for the hand that holds the piece and the eye that notices the quiet parts.
A single piece can spend three hours in finishing: sanding, burnishing, treating, inspecting. The difference is felt before it is explained.
Craft does not chase speed. It holds the standard.
